They shall suddenly die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight: and they shall pass, and take away the violent without hand.

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in the presence of the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall so come, as a thief in the night.

The Lord hath sworn against the pride of Jacob: surely I will never forget all their works.

THE burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, it is silent: because the wall of Moab is destroyed in the night, it is silent.

All holding swords, and most expert in war: every man's sword upon his thigh, because of fears in the night.

Turn away from evil and do good: seek after peace and pursue it.

For he will render to a man his work: and according to the ways of every one he will reward them.

Prolong not the night that people may come up for them.

And didst thou hold the extremities of the earth shaking them? And hast thou shaken the ungodly out of it?

Turn the wicked, and they shall not be: but the house of the just shall stand firm.
