So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he seemed just to himself.
I am clean, and without sin. I am unspotted, and there is no iniquity in me.
And shouldst know that I have done no wicked thing, whereas there is no man that can deliver out of thy hand.
Let him propose equity against me: and let my judgment come to victory.
Although he should kill me, I will trust in him. But yet I will reprove my ways in his sight;
I will say to God: Do not condemn me. Tell me why thou judgest me so.
Answer, I beseech you, without contention: and speaking that which is just, judge ye.
If I shall be judged, I know that I shall be found just.
For thy iniquity hath taught thy mouth, and thou imitatest the tongue of blasphemers.
And not for thy manifold wickedness, and thy infinite iniquities?
Now thou has said in my hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words:
Hide them in the dust together: and plunge their faces into the pit.
