I am brought to nothing: as a wind thou hast taken away my desire: and my prosperity hath passed away like a cloud.

Therefore they shall be as a morning aloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the dust that is driven with a whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

I have blotted out thy iniquities as a cloud and thy sins as a mist: return to me, for I have redeemed thee.

For the arrows of the Lord are in me, the rage whereof drinketh up my spirit: and the terrors of the Lord war against me.

As a cloud is consumed, and passeth away: so he that shall go down to hell shall not come up.

For the fear which I feared hath come upon me: and that which I was afraid of hath befallen me.

They have rushed in upon me, as when a wall is broken, and a gate opened: and have rolled themselves down to my miseries.

My enemies have trodden on me all the day long; for they are many that make war against me.

blessed is the people that knoweth jubilation. They shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance:
