Let the stars be darkened with the mist thereof: let it expect light and not see it, nor the rising of the dawning of the day:
For he shall esteem iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.
Give ye glory to the Lord your God, before it be dark, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains. You shall look for light and he will turn it into the shadow of death and into darkness.
We looked for peace, and no good came: for a time of healing, and, behold, fear.
I expected good things, and evils are come upon me: I waited for light, and darkness broke out.
Let them curse it who curse the day, who are ready to raise up a leviathan.
Because it shut not up the doors of the womb that bore me, nor took away evils from my eyes.
Out of his mouth go forth lamps, like torches of lighted fire.
