And Tyre hath built herself a strong hold, and heaped together silver as earth, and gold as the mire of the streets.

Lay not up to yourselves treasures on earth: where the rust, and moth consume, and where thieves break through and steal.

Your riches are corrupted: and your garments are motheaten.

Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a dark speech concerning him: and it shall be said: Woe to him that heapeth together that which is not his own? how long also doth he load himself with thick clay?

He shall give for earth flint, and for flint torrents of gold.

And he made silver to be as plentiful in Jerusalem as stones: and cedars to be as common as sycamores which grow in the plains.

Or with princes, that possess gold, and fill their houses with silver:

He shall not be enriched; neither shall his substance continue; neither shall he push his root in the earth.

His children shall be oppressed with want: and his hands shall render him his sorrow.

They that shall remain of him shall be buried in death and his widows shall not weep.

He shall prepare indeed; but the just man shall be clothed with it: and the innocent shall divide the silver.

The good man leaveth heirs, sons, and grandsons: and the substance of the sinner is kept for the just.

God hath given to a man that is good in his sight, wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he hath given vexation, and superfluous care, to heap up and to gather together, and to give it to him that hath pleased God: but this also is vanity, and a fruitless solicitude of the mind.

Howl, ye inhabitants of the Morter. All the people of Chanaan is hush, all are cut off that were wrapped up in silver.
