Who will grant me that I might know and find him, and come even to his throne?
My friends are full of words: my eye poureth out tears to God.
But yet I will speak to the Almighty: and I desire to reason with God.
Seeing then it remaineth that some are to enter into it, and they, to whom it was first preached, did not enter because of unbelief:
If our iniquities have testified against us, O Lord, do thou it for thy name's sake, for our rebellions are many: we have sinned against thee.
And in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, we have patiently waited for thee: thy name, and thy remembrance are the desire of the soul.
Now also my words are in bitterness, and the hand of my scourge is more grievous than my mourning.
I would set judgment before him, and would fill my mouth with complaints:
For, behold, my witness is in heaven: and he that knoweth my conscience is on high.
Verily thou art a hidden God, the God of Israel, the saviour.
