And they came to the threshing-floor of Atad, which is situated beyond the Jordan: where celebrating the exequies with a great and vehement lamentation, they spent full seven days.

And I came to them of the captivity, to the heap of new corn, to them that dwelt by the river Chobar, and I sat where they sat: and I remained there seven days, mourning in the midst of them.

And when I had heard these words I sat down, and wept, and mourned for many days: and I fasted, and prayed before the face of the God of heaven.

And her gates shall lament and mourn: and she shall sit desolate on the ground.

They have not been hidden from their children, in another generation. Declaring the praises of the Lord, and his powers, and his wonders which he hath done.

And when I had heard this word, I rent my mantle and my coat, and plucked off the hairs of my head and my beard: and I sat down mourning.

COME down, sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon: sit on the ground. There is no throne for the daughter of the Chaldeans, for thou shalt no more be called delicate and tender.

After this Job opened his mouth, and cursed his day.
