In me, O God, are vows to thee, which I will pay, praises to thee:

They answered, and said to him: Thou wast wholly born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

And his disciples asked him: Rabbi, who hath sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind?

Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he hath had regard to take away my reproach among men.

And the Lord shall save the tabernacles of Juda, as in the beginning: that the house of David, and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, may not boast and magnify themselves against Juda.

This shall befall them for their pride: because they have blasphemed, and have been magnified against the people of the Lord of hosts.

Rejoice not, thou, my enemy, over me, because I am fallen: I shall arise, when I sit in darkness, the Lord is my light.

AND in that day, seven women shall take hold of one man, saying: We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name. Take away our reproach.

Whilst my bones are broken, my enemies who trouble me have reproached me; Whilst they say to me day be day: Where is thy God?

And they said to me: They that have remained, and are left of the captivity there in the province, are in great affliction and reproach: And the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and the gates thereof are burnt with fire.

Her rival also afflicted her, and troubled her exceedingly, insomuch that she upbraided her, that the Lord had shut up her womb.

For if I have been ignorant, my ignorance shall be with me.

Because thou hast delivered my soul from death, my feet from falling: that I may please in the sight of God, in the light of the living.
