You dress up speeches only to rebuke: and you utter words to the wind.

Ephraim feedeth on the wind, and followeth the burning heat: all the day long he multiplied lies and desolation: and he hath made a covenant with the Assyrians, and carried oil into Egypt.

How long wilt thou speak these things: and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?

Who is a wise man, and endued with knowledge among you? Let him shew, by a good conversation, his work in the meekness of wisdom.

According to your knowledge I also know: neither am I inferior to you.

And Eliphaz the Themanite answered, and said:

Thou reprovest him by words, who is not equal to thee: and thou speakest that which is not good for thee.

The heart of the wise shall instruct his mouth: and shall add grace to his lips.

A most deplorable evil: as he came, so shall he return. What then doth it profit him that he hath laboured for the wind?

Therefore there is a judgment of the Lord with Juda, and a visitation for Jacob: he will render to him according to his ways, and according to his devices.
