Wise men confess and hide not their fathers.

For inquire of the former generation: and search diligently into the memory of the fathers

The living, the living, he shall give praise to thee, as I do this day: the father shall make thy truth known to the children.

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone doth wonderful things.

There are with us also aged and ancient men, much elder than thy fathers.

I will shew thee. Hear me, and I will tell thee what I have seen.

To whom alone the earth was given: and no stranger hath passed among them.

This I know from the beginning, since man was placed upon the earth:
