His wrath is kindled against me: and he hath counted me as his enemy.

He. The Lord is become as an enemy: he hath cast down Israel headlong, he hath overthrown all the walls thereof: he hath destroyed his strongholds, and hath multiplied in the daughter of Juda the afflicted, both men and women.

Unto the end, a psalm for David. The fool hath said in his heart: There is no God. They are corrupt, and are become abominable in their ways: there is none that doth good, no not one.

And I will wait for the Lord who hath hid his face from the house of Jacob: and I will look for him.

Thou art changed to be cruel toward me: and in the hardness of thy hand thou art against me.

My wrinkles bear witness against me: and a false speaker riseth up against my face, contradicting me.

I will say to God: Do not condemn me. Tell me why thou judgest me so.

And Samuel said: Why askest thou me, seeing the Lord has departed from thee, and is gone over to thy rival?

Why do you persecute me as God, and glut yourselves with my flesh?

And for pride thou wilt take me as a lioness, and returning thou tormentest me wonderfully.

Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and multipliest thy wrath upon me; and pains war against me.
