If thou wilt return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, and shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacle.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners: and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

And when you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away my eyes from you: and when you multiply prayer, I will not hear: for your hands are full of blood.

Hear, O Lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to thee.

If I have erred, teach thou me: if I have spoken iniquity, I will add no more.

And not for thy manifold wickedness, and thy infinite iniquities?

Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished being innocent? Or when were the just destroyed?

If thou do well, shalt thou not receive? But if ill, shall not sin forthwith be present at the door? But the lust thereof shall be under thee, and thou shalt have dominion over it.

And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying: If you turn to the Lord with all your heart, put away the strange gods from among you, Baalim and Astaroth. And prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

And the Lord testified to them in Israel and in Juda by the hand of all the prophets and seers, saying: Return from your wicked ways, and keep my precepts, and ceremonies, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers; and as I have sent to you in the hand of my servants the prophets.

If thou wilt walk clean and upright: he will presently awake onto thee, and will make the dwelling of thy justice peaceable.
