Being circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; according to the law, a Pharisee:

They are Hebrews: so am I. They are Israelites: so am I. They are the seed of Abraham: so am I.

But you do wrong and defraud, and that to your brethren.

And all the princes and all the people who entered into the covenant heard that every man should let his man-servant, and every man his maid-servant, go free and should no more have dominion over them. And they obeyed and let them go free.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck and will burst his bands: and strangers shall no more rule over him.

And all nations shall serve him and his son and his son's son, till the time come for his land and himself: and many nations and great kings shall serve him.

Take courage and behave like men, ye Philistines: lest you come to be servants to the Hebrews, as they have served you. Take courage and fight.

And the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, and they said: What is this noise of a great shout in the camp of the Hebrews? And they understood that the ark of the Lord was come into the camp.

When thy brother, a Hebrew man, or Hebrew woman, is sold to thee, and hath served thee six years, in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free.

And they shall hear thy voice. And thou shalt go in, thou and the ancients of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and thou shalt say to him: The Lord God of the Hebrews hath called us. We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, to sacrifice unto the Lord our God.

She opened it and seeing within it an infant crying, having compassion on it she said: This is one of the babes of the Hebrews.

For I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews, and here without any fault was cast into the dungeon.

And, behold, one that had escaped told Abram the Hebrew, who dwelt in the vale of Mambre the Amorrhite, the brother of Escol, and the brother of Aner: for these had made league with Abram.
