Therefore thus saith the Lord: You have not hearkened to me in proclaiming liberty every man to his brother and every man to his friend: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the Lord, to the sword, to the pestilence and to the famine: and I will cause you to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth.

For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Be not deceived, God is not mocked.

And I will persecute them with the sword and with famine and with the pestilence: and I will give them up unto affliction to all the kingdoms of the earth: to be a curse and an astonishment and a hissing and a reproach to all the nations to which I have driven them out:

The Lord make thee to fall down before thy enemies. One way mayst thou go out against them, and flee seven ways, and be scattered throughout all the kingdoms of the earth.

For judgment without mercy to him that hath not done mercy. And mercy exalteth itself above judgment.

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

Heth. Jerusalem hath grievously sinned, therefore is she become unstable: all that honoured her have despised her, because they have seen her shame: but she sighed and turned backward.

And now, therefore, thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, to this city, whereof you say that it shall be delivered into the hands of the king of Babylon by the sword and by famine and by pestilence:

And after this, saith the Lord, I will give Sedecias the king of Juda, and his servants, and his people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence and the sword and the famine, into the hand of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword, and he shall not be moved to pity nor spare them nor shew mercy on them.

And if they shall say unto thee: Whither shall we go forth? Thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord: Such as are for death, to death: and such as are for the sword, to the sword: and such as are for famine, to famine: and such as are for captivity, to captivity.

They shall render to him as he meant to do to his brother; and thou shalt take away the evil out of the midst of thee.

The word that came to Jeremias from the Lord, after that king Sedecias had made a covenant with all the people in Jerusalem making a proclamation:

Thus saith the Lord: Whosoever shell remain in this city shall die by the sword and by famine and by pestilence: but he that shall go forth to the Chaldeans shall live, and his life shall be safe, and he shall live.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold, I will send upon them the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence: and I will make them like bad figs that cannot be eaten, because they are very bad.

And sayest thou to me, O Lord God: Buy a field for money and take witnesses, whereas the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans?
