Of them that come to fight with the Chaldeans and to fill them with the dead bodies of the men whom I have slain in my wrath and in my indignation, hiding my face from this city because of all their wickedness.

And I will wait for the Lord who hath hid his face from the house of Jacob: and I will look for him.

And he shall lead Sedecias to Babylon: and he shall be there till I visit him, saith the Lord. But if you will fight against the Chaldeans, you shall have no success.

For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the Lord. It shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.

Then shall they cry to the Lord, and he will not hear them: and he will hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved wickedly in their devices.

There is none that calleth upon thy name: that riseth up and taketh hold of thee: Thou hast hid thy face from us and hast crushed us in the hand of our iniquity.

And my wrath shall be kindled against them in that day: and I will forsake them, and will hide my face from them: and they shall be devoured. All evils and afflictions shall find them, so that they shall say in that day: In truth it is because God is not with me, that these evils have found me.

And I will hide my face no more from them, for I have poured out my spirit upon all the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

As a burning wind will I scatter them before the enemy. I will shew them the back and not the face, in the day of their destruction.

And he said: I will hide my face from them, and will consider what their last end shall be. For it is a perverse generation, and unfaithful children.

For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: As my anger and my indignation hath been kindled against the inhabitants of Jerusalem: so shall my indignation be kindled against you, when you shall enter into Egypt. And you shall be an execration and an astonishment and a curse and a reproach: and you shall see this place no more.

Zain. The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath cursed his sanctuary: he hath delivered the walls of the towers thereof into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in the house of the Lord, as in the day of a solemn feast.

But I will hide, and cover my face in that day, for all the evils which they have done, because they have followed strange gods.
