There was no king before him like unto him, that returned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his strength, according to all the law of Moses: neither after him did there arise any like him.

Say to the just man that it is well: for he shall eat the fruit of his doings.

Blessed is the land, whose king is noble, and whose princes eat in due season for refreshment, and not for riotousness.

Take away wickedness from the face of the king, and his throne shall be established with justice.

A just king setteth up the land: a covetous man shall destroy it.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the ways of David his father: he turned not aside to the right hand, or to the left.

Whether it be good or evil, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God, to whom me send thee: that it may be well with us when we shall hearken to the voice of the Lord our God.

To do mercy and judgment, pleaseth the Lord more than victims.

Blessed be the Lord thy God, whom thou hast pleased, and who hath set thee upon the throne of Israel: because the Lord hath loved Israel for ever, and hath appointed thee king, to do judgment and justice.

And David reigned over all Israel: and David did judgment and justice to all his people.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatsoever else you do, do all to the glory of God.

And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart;

But yet that which remaineth, give alms; and behold, all things are clean unto you.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, and I will raise up to David a just branch. And a king shall reign, and shall be wise, and shall execute judgement and justice in the earth.

Therefore, thus saith the Lord concerning Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda: They shall not mourn for him, Alas, my brother, and Alas, sister: they shall not lament for him, Alas, my Lord, or, Alas, the noble one.

Thus saith the Lord: Execute judgement and justice: and deliver him that is oppressed out of the hand of the oppressor: and afflict not the stranger, the fatherless and the widow, nor oppress them unjustly: and shed not innocent blood in this place.

He shall dwell on high: the fortifications of rocks shall be his highness. Bread is given him, his waters are sure.

His empire shall be multiplied, and there shall be no end of peace. He shall sit upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom: to establish it and strengthen it with judgment and with justice, from henceforth and for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Is it not better to eat and drink, and to shew his soul good things of his labours? and this is from the hand of God.

Open thy mouth, decree that which is just, and do justice to the needy and poor.

Mercy and truth preserve the king, and his throne is strengthened by clemency.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of David his father: He declined not, neither to the right hand, nor to the left.

And the sons of Josias were, the firstborn Johanan, the second Joakim, the third Sedecias, the fourth Sellum.

Keep his precepts and commandments, which I command thee. That it may be well with thee, and thy children after thee: and thou mayst remain a long time upon the land, which the Lord thy God will give thee.

For if you will order well your ways and your doings: if you will execute judgement between a man and his neighbor;

Josias would not return, but prepared to fight against him, and hearkened not to the words of Nechao from the mouth of God, but went to fight in the field of Mageddo.
