And Jeremias answered: It is not so, I am not fleeing to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him: so Jerias took Jeremias and brought him to the princes.

And calling in the apostles, after they had scourged them, they charged them that they should not speak at all in the name of Jesus; and they dismissed them.

Thou hast put my feet in the stocks, and hast observed all my paths, and hast considered the steps of my feet:

And Sedecias the son of Chanaana came and struck Micheas on the cheek and said: Which way went the spirit of the Lord from me, to speak to thee?

He hath put my feet in the stocks, he hath observed all my paths.

And when the king had heard the word of the man of God, which he had cried out against the altar in Bethel, he stretched forth his hand from the altar, saying: Lay hold on him. And his hand which he stretched forth against him withered: and he was not able to draw it back again to him.

And the princes of Juda heard these words: and they went up from the king's house into the house of the Lord and sat in the entry of the new gate of the house of the Lord.
