Then shall there enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes, sitting upon the throne of David and riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, the men of Juda and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall be inhabited for ever.

For if you will do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings of the race of David, sitting upon his throne and riding in chariots and on horses, they and their servants and their people.

His empire shall be multiplied, and there shall be no end of peace. He shall sit upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom: to establish it and strengthen it with judgment and with justice, from henceforth and for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

But you are come to mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the company of many thousands of angels,

Also my covenant with David my servant may be made void, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne, and with the Levites and priests, my ministers.

For thus saith the Lord: There shall not be cut off from David a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel.

In those days and at that time, I will make the bud of justice to spring forth unto David and he shall do judgment and justice in the earth.

And thy house shall be faithful, and thy kingdom for ever before thy face: and thy throne shall be firm for ever.

Thus saith the Lord: Write this man barren, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for there shall not be a man of his seed that shall sit upon the throne of David and have power any more in Juda.

And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord: Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, and the kings of the race of David that sit upon his throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

And David took from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and houghed all the chariot horses: and only reserved of them for one hundred chariots.

And said: This will be the right of the king, that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and put them in his chariots, and will make them his horsemen, and his running footmen to run before his chariots.

And when he is made king, he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor lead back the people into Egypt, being lifted up with the number of his horsemen: especially since the Lord hath commanded you to return no more the same way.

And this day shall be for a memorial to you: and you shall keep it a feast to the Lord in your generations with an everlasting observance.

And thou shalt say: Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Juda, that sittest upon the throne of David: thou and thy servants and thy people, who enter in by these gates.

When he said: Return ye, every one from his evil way and from your wicked devices: and you shall dwell in the land which the Lord hath given to you and your fathers for ever and ever.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: Make your ways and your doings good: and I will dwell with you in this place.

I will dwell with you in this place: in the land, which I gave to your fathers from the beginning and for evermore.
