Jeremiah 16:4

They shall die by the death of grievous illnesses: they shall not be lamented and they shall not be buried: they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed with the sword and with famine: and their carcasses shall be meat for the fowls of the air and for the beasts of the earth.

And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end thereof. They shall not be lamented and they shall not be gathered up, nor buried: they shall lie as dung upon the face of the earth.

Behold, O God our protector: and look on the face of thy Christ.

Speak: Thus saith the Lord: Even the carcass of man shall fall as dung upon the face of the country, and as grass behind the back of the mower, and there is none to gather it.

And I will distress men, and they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as earth, and their bodies as dung.

And I will give them into the hands of their enemies and into the hands of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat to the fowls of the air and to the beasts of the earth.

And the carcasses of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the air and for the beasts of the earth, and there shall be none to drive them away.

And they shall be left together to the birds of the mountains and the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall be upon them all the summer, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence and shall be consumed with famine in the midst of thee: and a third part of thee shall fall by the sword round about thee: and a third part of thee will I scatter into every wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.

Behold, I will watch over them for evil and not for good: and all the men of Juda that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by famine till there be an end of them.

Therefore thus saith the Lord against Joakim the king of Juda: He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out to the heat by day and to the frost by night.

Therefore thus saith the Lord: You have not hearkened to me in proclaiming liberty every man to his brother and every man to his friend: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the Lord, to the sword, to the pestilence and to the famine: and I will cause you to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth.

Therefore is the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched out his hand upon them, and struck them: and the mountains were troubled, and their carcasses became as dung in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

And the dogs shall eat Jezabel in the field of Jezrahel: and there shall be no one to bury her. And he opened the door and fled.

And I will take the remnant of Juda that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt and to dwell there: and they shall be all consumed in the land of Egypt. They shall fall by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be consumed from the least even to the greatest. By the sword, and by the famine shall they die: and they shall be for an execration and for a wonder and for a curse and for a reproach.

And be thy carcass meat for all the fowls of the air, and the beasts of the earth: and be there none to drive them away.

And I will defeat the counsel of Juda and of Jerusalem in this place: and I will destroy them with the sword in the sight of their enemies and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and I will give their carcasses to be meat for the fowls of the air and for the beasts of the earth.

Teth. It was better with them that were slain by the sword than with them that died with hunger: for these pined away being consumed for want of the fruits of the earth.

Speak to the house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the glory of your realm and the thing that your eyes desire, and for which your soul feareth: your sons, and your daughters, whom you have left, shall fall by the sword.

May the Lord afflict thee with miserable want, with the fever and with cold, with burning and with heat, and with corrupted air and with blasting: and pursue thee till thou perish.

And I will strike the inhabitants of this city: men and beasts shall die of a great pestilence.
