We are become as in the beginning, when thou didst not rule over us and when we were not called by thy name.

BEHOLD, the hand of the Lord is not shortened that it cannot save: neither is his ear heavy that it cannot hear.

Thy words were found, and I did eat them: and thy word was to me a joy and gladness of my heart, for thy name is called upon me, O Lord God of hosts.

Arise, arise, put on strength, O thou arm of the Lord: arise as in the days of old, in the ancient generations. Hast not thou struck the proud one, and wounded the dragon?

Rejoice, and praise, O thou habitation of Sion: for great is he that is in the midst of thee, the Holy One of Israel.

Save, O Lord, thy people, and bless thy inheritance: and rule them and exalt them for ever.

And the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because the Lord hath sworn to make you his people.

That which thou art eased of (for the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thy enemies to thee). And let thy camp be holy, and let no uncleanness appear therein, lest he go away from thee.

That the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all nations upon whom my name is invoked, saith the Lord, who doth these things.

Its circumference was eighteen thousand: and the name of the city from that day, The Lord is there.

How long, O Lord, shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? shall I cry out to thee suffering violence, and thou wilt not save?

And all the people of the earth shall see that the name of the Lord is invocated upon thee, and they shall fear thee.

And my people, upon whom my name is called, being converted, shall make supplication to me, and seek out my face, and do penance for their most wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.

And every one that calleth upon my name, I have created him for my glory: I have formed him: and made him.

For Israel and Juda have not been forsaken by their God, the Lord of hosts: but their land hath been filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.

Why wilt thou forget us for ever? Why wilt thou forsake us for a long time?

Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I am returned to Sion, and I will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, The sanctified mountain.
