IN that day shall this canticle be sung the land of Juda. Sion, the city of our strength: a Saviour, a wall and a bulwark shall be set therein.

They shall not hurt, nor shall they kill in all my holy mountain: for the earth is filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as the covering waters of the sea.

And I will encompass my house with them that serve me in war, going and returning, and the oppressor shall no more pass through them: for now I have seen with my eyes.

And he shall judge the Gentiles and rebuke many people: and they shall turn their swords into ploughshares and their spears into sickles. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they be exercised any more to war.

And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off: and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into spades: nation shall not take sword against nation: neither shall they learn war any more.

And I will appoint a place for my people Israel; and I will plant them; and they shall dwell therein, and shall be disturbed no more. Neither shall the children of iniquity afflict them any more as they did before,

Who hath placed peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the fat of corn.

Open ye the gates: and let the just nation, that keepeth the truth, enter in.

There are two things that have happened to thee. Who shall be sorry for thee? Desolation and destruction and the famine and the sword: Who shall comfort thee?

And thou shalt be founded in justice. Depart far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear: and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.

I will give to them, in my house and within my walls, a place and a name better than sons and daughters. I will give them an everlasting name which shall never perish.

And thy gates shall be open continually: they shall not be shut day nor night, that the strength of the Gentiles may be brought to thee, and their kings may be brought.

For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: and I will make thy visitation peace, and thy overseers justice.

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud and as the garden causeth her seed to shoot forth: so shall the Lord God make justice to spring forth and praise before all the nations.

Thou shalt no more be called Forsaken, and thy land shall no more be called Desolate: but thou shalt be called My pleasure in her, and thy land inhabited. Because the Lord hath been well pleased with thee: and thy land shall be inhabited.

And give him no silence till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Go through, go through the gates, prepare the way for the people, make the road plain, pick out the stones, and lift up the standard to the people.

By the four winds he measured the wall thereof on every side round about, five hundred cubits long and five hundred cubits broad, making a separation between the sanctuary and the place of the people.

Behold I will cut off all that have afflicted thee at that time: and I will save her that halteth, and will gather her that was cast out: and I will get them praise, and a name, in all the land where they had been put to confusion.

And I will be to it, saith the Lord, a wall of fire round about: and I will be in glory in the midst thereof.

For behold I lift up my hand upon them, and they shall be a prey to those that served them: and you shall know that the Lord of hosts sent me.
