For your double confusion and shame, they shall praise their part: therefore shall they receive double in their land. Everlasting joy shall be unto them.

For I will close up thy scar and will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord: because they have called thee, O Sion, an outcast: This is she that hath none to seek after her.

The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say: Give ye glory to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his mercy endureth for ever. In that day the bud of the Lord shall be in magnificence and glory: and the fruit of the earth shall be high, and a great joy to them that shall have escaped of Israel.

And I said: How long, O Lord? And he said: Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land shall be left desolate.

Thou shalt no more be called Forsaken, and thy land shall no more be called Desolate: but thou shalt be called My pleasure in her, and thy land inhabited. Because the Lord hath been well pleased with thee: and thy land shall be inhabited.

Hear the word of the Lord, you that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you and cast you out for my name's sake have said: Let the Lord be glorified and we shall see in your joy. But they shall be confounded.

For the Lord hath rendered the pride of Jacob, as the pride of Israel: because the spoilers have laid them waste, and have marred their vine branches.

And I dispersed them throughout all kingdoms, which they know not: and the land was left desolate behind them, so that no man passed through or returned: and they changed the delightful land into a wilderness.

He shall cast death down headlong forever. And the Lord God shall wipe away tears from every face. And the reproach of his people he shall take away from off the whole earth. For the Lord hath spoken it.
