The glory of Libanus shall come to thee, the fir-tree, and the box-tree, and the pine-tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary: and I will glorify the place of my feet.

It shall bud forth and blossom, and shall rejoice with joy and praise. The glory of Libanus is given to it: the beauty of Carmel, and Saron. They shall see the glory of the Lord and the beauty of our God.

And the king rising up and standing said: Hear me, my brethren and my people. I had a thought to have built a house, in which the ark of the Lord and the footstool of our God might rest: and I prepared all things for the building.

The heavens declared his justice: and all people saw his glory.

THUS saith the Lord: Heaven is my throne, and the earth my footstool. What is this house that you will build to me? And what is this place of my rest?

Instead of the shrub, shall come up the fir-tree, and instead of the nettle, shall come up the myrtle-tree: and the Lord shall be named for an everlasting sign that shall not be taken away.

Blessed be the Lord the God of our fathers, who hath put this in the king's heart, to glorify the house of the Lord, which is in Jerusalem,

for the Lord is sweet, his mercy endureth for ever, and his truth to generation and generation.

All the flocks of Cedar shall be gathered together unto thee: the rams of Nabaioth shall minister to thee. They shall be offered upon my acceptable altar: and I will glorify the house of my majesty.

And when I had turned myself, behold on the bank of the torrent were very many trees on both sides.

The wheat therefore, and the barley and the oil, and the wine, which thou, my lord, hast promised, send to thy servants.
