Upon it stood the seraphims: the one had six wings, and the other had six wings: with two they covered his face, and with two they covered his feet, and with two they flew.
And the four living creatures had each of them six wings; and round about and within they are full of eyes. And they rested not day and night, saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come.
One wing of the cherub was five cubits, and the other wing of the cherub was five cubits: that is, in all ten cubits, from the extremity of one wing to the extremity of the other wing.
And I saw another angel flying through the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel, to preach unto them that sit upon the earth, and over every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people:
And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth: by reason of the rest of the voices of the three angels, who are yet to sound the trumpet.
And all the angels stood round about the throne, and the ancients, and the four living creatures; and they fell down before the throne upon their faces, and adored God,
And I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, as it were the voice of the most high God. When they walked, it was like the voice of a multitude, like the noise of an army: and when they stood, their wings were let down.
And he added and said: Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on the right hand and on the left.
And he set the cherubims in the midst of the inner temple: and the cherubims stretched forth their wings. And the wing of the one touched one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall: and the other wings in the midst of the temple touched one another.
Let them cover both sides of the propitiatory, spreading their wings, and covering the oracle: and let them look one towards the other, their faces being turned towards the propitiatory wherewith the ark is to be covered.
And when Elias heard it, he covered his face with his mantle, and coming forth stood in the entering-in of the cave, And, behold, a voice unto him, saying: What dost thou here, Elias? And he answered:
Who answered, and said to them that stood before him, saying: Take away the filthy garments from him. And he said to him: Behold I have taken away thy iniquity, and have clothed thee with change of garments.
And when the cherubims went the wheels also went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth the wheels stayed not behind but were by them.
And I saw, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, and a great cloud, and a fire infolding it! And brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof, that is, out of the midst of the fire, as it were the resemblance of amber.
Thou thyself, O Lord alone, thou hast made heaven, and the heaven of heavens, and all the host thereof: the earth and all things that are in it: the seas and all that are therein. And thou givest life to all these things, and the host of heaven adoreth thee.
