Then shalt thou be delighted in the Lord, and I will lift thee up above the high places of the earth and will feed thee with the inheritance of Jacob thy father. For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

He set him upon high land: that he might eat the fruits of the fields, that he might suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the hardest stone,

Then shalt thou abound in delights in the Almighty: and shalt lift up thy face to God.

He shall dwell on high: the fortifications of rocks shall be his highness. Bread is given him, his waters are sure.

Heaven and earth shall pass, but my words shall not pass.

With a mighty hand and a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.

My heart is troubled, my strength hath left me, and the light of my eyes itself is not with me.

For he hath said: Man shall not please God, although he run with him.

Search ye diligently in the book of the Lord, and read: not one of them was wanting, one hath not sought for the other. For that which proceedeth out of my mouth, he hath commanded: and his spirit it hath gathered them.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, and my soul shall be joyful in my God. For he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation and with the robe of justice he hath covered me: as a bridegroom decked with a crown and as a bride adorned with her jewels.

Thus saith the Lord God: Because the enemy hath said of you: Aha, the everlasting heights are given to us for an inheritance.
