This thing is to me as in the days of Noe, to whom I swore that I would no more bring in the waters of Noe upon the earth: so have I sworn not to be angry with thee and not to rebuke thee.

AND thou shalt say in that day: I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, for thou wast angry with me. Thy wrath is turned away: and thou hast comforted me.

And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and said: I will no more curse the earth for the sake of man: for the imagination and thought of man's heart are prone to evil from his youth: therefore I will no more destroy every living soul as I have done.

And you shall be filled at my table with horses, and mighty horsemen, and all the men of war, saith the Lord God.

And my indignation shall rest in thee and my jealousy shall depart from thee: and I will cease and be angry no more.

And I will hide my face no more from them, for I have poured out my spirit upon all the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

Thou shalt also forget misery, and remember it only as waters that are passed away.

Lift up your eyes to heaven, and look down to the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth shall be worn away like a garment, and the inhabitants thereof shall perish in like manner. But my salvation shall be for ever: and my justice shall not fail.

For the worm shall eat them up as a garment and the moth shall consume them as wool: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice from generation to generation,

Thus saith thy Sovereign, the Lord and thy God, who will fight for his people: Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of dead sleep, the dregs of the cup of my indignation. Thou shalt not drink it again any more.

Thus saith the Lord: If the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I also will cast away all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.
