HEAR ye these things, O house of Jacob, you that are called by the name of Israel and are come forth out of the waters of Juda, you who swear by the name of the Lord and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in justice.
Assemble yourselves, and come, and draw near together, ye that are saved of the Gentiles. They have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven work and pray to a god that cannot save.
And we are all become as one unclean: and all our justices as the rag of a menstruous woman. And we have all fallen as a leaf: and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel: and the man of Juda, his pleasant plant. And I looked that he should do judgment, and, behold, iniquity: and do justice, and behold a cry.
And truth hath been forgotten: and he that departed from evil lay open to be a prey. And the Lord saw, and it appeared evil in his eyes, because there is no judgment.
