For the scripture saith: Whosoever believeth in him, shall not be confounded.

For thy mercy is before my eyes; and I am well pleased with thy truth.

Fear not, for thou shalt not be confounded nor blush. For thou shalt not be put to shame, because thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth and shalt remember no more the reproach of thy widowhood.

Wherefore it is said in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious. And he that shall believe in him, shall not be confounded.

And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and queens thy nurses. They shall worship thee with their face toward the earth: and they shall lick up the dust of thy feet. And thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be confounded that wait for him.

In a moment of indignation have I hid my face a little while from thee: but with everlasting kindness have I had mercy on thee, said the Lord thy Redeemer.

Therefore shall he say: In the Lord are my justices and empire; they shall come to him, and all that resist him shall be confounded.

In that day thou shalt not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee thy proud boasters, and thou shalt no more be lifted up because of my holy mountain.

For the worm shall eat them up as a garment and the moth shall consume them as wool: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice from generation to generation,

And I will have mercy on the house of Juda, and I will save them by the Lord their God: and Iwill not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.

Lift up your eyes to heaven, and look down to the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth shall be worn away like a garment, and the inhabitants thereof shall perish in like manner. But my salvation shall be for ever: and my justice shall not fail.

Behold, God is my saviour: I will deal confidently, and will not fear, because the Lord is my strength and my praise, and he is become my salvation.

And there shall be faith in thy times, riches of salvation, wisdom and knowledge: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.

The Lord God is my helper: therefore am I not confounded. Therefore have I set my face as a most hard rock: and I know that I shall not be confounded.

In those days shall Juda be saved and Jerusalem shall dwell securely. And this is the name that they shall call him. The Lord Our Just One.

They that are vain observe vanities, forsake their own mercy.
