Get thee up upon a high mountain, thou that bringest good tidings to Sion. Lift up thy voice with strength, thou that bringest good tidings to Jerusalem. Lift it up: fear not. Say to the cities of Juda: Behold your God.
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings and that preacheth peace, of him that sheweth forth good, that preacheth salvation, that saith to Sion: Thy God shall reign!
Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace: O Juda, keep thy festivals, and pay thy vows: for Belial shall no more pass through thee again, he is utterly cut off.
The former things of old I have declared. And they went forth out of my mouth, and I have made them to be heard. I did them suddenly, and they came to pass:
Who say to Cyrus: Thou art my shepherd, and thou shalt perform all my pleasure. Who say to Jerusalem: Thou shalt be built. And to the temple: Thy foundations shall be laid.
And how shall they preach unless they be sent, as it is written: How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, of them that bring glad tidings of good things!
You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe me, and understand that I myself am. Before me there was no God formed: and after me there shall be none.
