Who hath raised up the just one from the east, hath called him to follow him? He shall give the nations in his sight, and he shall rule over kings: he shall give them as the dust to his sword, as stubble driven by the wind, to his bow.

THUS saith the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I have taken hold of, to subdue nations before his face, and to turn the backs of kings, and to open the doors before him: and the gates shall not be shut.

I shall beat them as small as the dust of the earth: I shall crush them and spread them abroad like the mire of the streets.

Who call a bird from the east, and from a far country the man of my own will. And I have spoken and will bring it to pass: I have created, and I will do it. Hear me, O ye hardhearted, who are far from justice.

I, even I have spoken and called him. I have brought him, and his way is made prosperous.
