Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these things, who bringeth out their host by number and calleth them all by their names. By the greatness of his might and strength and power, not one of them was missing.

Lift up your eyes to heaven, and look down to the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth shall be worn away like a garment, and the inhabitants thereof shall perish in like manner. But my salvation shall be for ever: and my justice shall not fail.

My hand also hath founded the earth, and my right hand hath measured the heavens: I shall call them, and they shall stand together.

Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and thy maker from the womb: I am the Lord, that make all things, that alone stretch out the heavens, that establish the earth. And there is none with me.

I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil. I, the Lord, that do all these things.

Thus saith the Lord God that created the heavens and stretched them out: that established the earth and the things that spring out of it: that giveth breath to the people upon it, and spirit to them that tread thereon.

Search ye diligently in the book of the Lord, and read: not one of them was wanting, one hath not sought for the other. For that which proceedeth out of my mouth, he hath commanded: and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Lest perhaps lifting up thy eyes to heaven thou see the sun and the moon, and all the stars of heaven, and being deceived by error thou adore and serve them, which the Lord thy God created for the service of all the nations, that are under heaven.

And God made two great lights: a greater light to rule the day; and a lesser light to rule the night: and the stars.

I rejoiced at the things that were said to me: We shall go into the house of the Lord.

Hearken to me, O Jacob, and thou, Israel, whom I call: I am he, I am the first, and I am the last.

My hand made all these things, and all these things were made, saith the Lord. But to whom shall I have respect, but to him that is poor and little and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my words?

And God said: Let there be lights made in the firmament of heaven, to divide the day and the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:

That we may know thy way upon earth: thy salvation in all nations.

I made the earth: and I created man upon it. My hand stretched forth the heavens: and I have commanded all their host.
