And Jonas arose, and went to Ninive, according to the word of the Lord: now Ninive was a great city of three days' journey.

Arise, and go to Ninive the great city, and preach in it: for the wickedness thereof is come up before me.

And he will stretch out his hand upon the north, and will destroy Assyria: and he will make the beautiful city a wilderness, and as a place not passable, and as a desert.

And when king Ezechias heard these words, he rent his garments, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord.

After these things, and this truth, Sennacherib king of the Assyrians came and entered into Juda, and besieged the fenced cities, desiring to take them.

And the Assyrian shall fall by the sword, not of a man, and the sword, not of a man, shall devour him: and he shall flee, not at the face of the sword. And his young men shall be tributaries.

The shameless people thou shalt not see, the people of profound speech: so that thou canst not understand the eloquence of his tongue, in whom there is no wisdom.
