And they have cast their gods into the fire. For they were not gods, but the works of men's hands, of wood and stone: and they broke them in pieces.

For itself also is the invention of Israel: a workman made it, and it is no god: for the calf of Samaria shall be turned to spiders' webs.

Thus then shall you say to them: The gods that have not made heaven and earth, let them perish from the earth and from among those places that are under heaven.

But the residue thereof he made a god and a graven thing for himself: he boweth down before it and adoreth it and prayeth unto it, saying: Deliver me, for thou art my God.

And their land is filled with horses: and their chariots are innumerable. Their land also is full of idols: they have adored the work of their own hands, which their own fingers have made.

And he shall not look to the altars which his hands made: and he shall not have respect to the things that his fingers wrought, such as groves and temples.

And I will pronounce my judgements against them, touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me and have sacrificed to strange gods and have adored the work of their own hands.

If a nation hath changed their gods, and indeed they are not gods: but my people have changed their glory into an idol.

Shall a man make gods unto himself, and there are no gods?

But he shall not take it so, and his heart shall not think so: but his heart shall be set to destroy and to cut off nations not a few.
