But if thou wilt answer me: We trust in the Lord our God; Is it not he whose high places and altars Ezechias hath taken away, and hath said to Juda, and Jerusalem: You shall worship before this altar?

But the spiritual man judgeth all things; and he himself is judged of no man.

To thee, O God my God, I will give praise upon the harp: why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me?

Is it not this same Ezechias, that hath destroyed his high places, and his altars, and commanded Juda and Jerusalem, saying: You shall worship before one altar, and upon it you shall burn incense?

And when these things had been duly celebrated, all Israel that were found in the cities of Juda went out. And they broke the idols, and cut down the groves, demolished the high places, and destroyed the altars, not only out of all Juda and Benjamin, but out of Ephraim also and Manasses, till they had utterly destroyed them. But if you say to me: We trust in the Lord our God: Is it not he, whose high places and altars Ezechias hath taken away; and hath commanded Juda and Jerusalem: You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?

And now deliver thyself up to my lord the king of the Assyrians, and I will give thee two thousand horses: and thou wilt not be able on thy part to find riders for them.
