God is ascended with jubilee, and the Lord with the sound of trumpet.

Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

For they are fled from before the swords, from the sword that hung over them, from the bent bow, from the face of a grievous battle.

And your spoils shall be gathered together as the locusts are gathered: as when the ditches are full of them.

And thou shalt prophesy unto them all these words, and thou shalt say to them: The Lord shall roar from on high and shall utter his voice from his holy habitation: roaring he shall roar upon the place of his beauty. The shout as it were of them that tread grapes shall be given out against all the inhabitants of the earth.

The noise is come even to the ends of the earth, for the Lord entereth into judgement with the nations: he entereth into judgement with all flesh. The wicked I have delivered up to the sword, saith the Lord.

Save me, O God: for the waters are come in even unto my soul.
