Whensoever it shall pass through, it shall take you away, because in the morning early it shall pass through, in the day and in the night: and vexation alone shall make you understand what you hear.

I have heard and my bowels were troubled: my lips trembled at the voice. Let rottenness enter into my bones, and swarm under me. That I may rest in the day of tribulation: that I may go up to our people that are girded.

And thou shalt say: Hear the word of the Lord, O ye kings of Juda and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring an affliction upon this place: so that whoever shall hear it, his ears shall tingle.

The Lord hath given me a learned tongue, that I should know how to uphold by word him that is weary. He wakeneth in the morning: in the morning he wakeneth my ear, that I may hear him as a master.

And the Lord sent against him the rovers of the Chaldees, and the rovers of Syria, and the rovers of Moab, and the rovers of the children of Ammon. And he sent them against Juda, to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by his servants the prophets.

Fears shall terrify him on every side, and shall entangle his feet.

Therefore thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring on evils upon Jerusalem and Juda; that whosoever shall hear of them, both his ears shall tingle.

In the fourteenth year of king Ezechias, Sennacherib king of the Assyrians came up against the fenced cities of Juda: and took them.

And in the ninth year of Osee, the king of the Assyrians took Samaria, and carried Israel away to Assyria. And he placed them in Hala and Habor by the river of Gozan, in the cities of the Medes.

And the Lord said to Samuel: Behold, I do a thing in Israel: and whosoever shall hear it, both his ears shall tingle.

For the arrows of the Lord are in me, the rage whereof drinketh up my spirit: and the terrors of the Lord war against me.

If the morning suddenly appear, it is to them the shadow of death: and they walk in darkness as if it were in light.

From the height of the day I shall fear: but I will trust in thee.

justice and judgment are the preparation of thy throne. Mercy and truth shall go before thy face:

We have heard the fame thereof, our hands grow feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, as a woman in labor.

Thau. Thou hast called as to a festival those that should terrify me round about, and there was none in the day of the wrath of the Lord that escaped and was left: those that I brought up and nourished, my enemy hath consumed them.

His sneezing is like the shining of fire: and his eyes like the eyelids of the morning.

Declare ye in Juda, and make it heard in Jerusalem: speak, and sound with the trumpet in the land. Cry aloud, and say: Assemble yourselves, and let us go into strong cities.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, That the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes: and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall be amazed
