And it shall come to pass, that he that shall flee from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit and he that shall rid himself out of the pit, shall be taken in the snare: for the flood-gates from on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth shall be shaken.

But this is a people that is robbed and wasted. They are all the snare of young men, and they are hid in the houses of prisons. They are made a prey, and there is none to deliver them; a spoil, and there is none that saith: Restore.

Fear and the pit and the snare come upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the Lord.

He that shall flee from the fear shall fall into the pit: and he that shall get up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon Moab the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.

The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.

Woe to them that desire the day of the Lord: to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.
