Be silent, you that dwell in the island: the merchants of Sidon, passing over the sea, have filled thee.

Sit thou silent and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called the lady of kingdoms.

But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre: Thus saith the Lord God: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said: I am God, and I sit in the chair of God in the heart of the sea: whereas thou art a man, and not God: and hast set thy heart as if it were the heart of God.

LET the islands keep silence before me, and the nations take new strength. Let them come near, and then speak: let us come near to judgment together.

The princes of the people are gathered together, with the God of Abraham: for the strong gods of the earth are exceedingly exalted.

Son of man, set thy face against Sidon: and thou shalt prophesy of it,
