Behold, I and my children, whom the Lord hath given me for a sign, and for a wonder in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwelleth in mount Sion.

For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I have given Egypt for thy atonement, Ethiopia and Saba for thee.

And he heard say about Tharaca the king of Ethiopia: He is come forth to fight against thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Ezechias, saying:

According to the number of the forty days, wherein you viewed the land: a year shall be counted for a day. And forty years you shall receive your iniquities, and shall know my revenge.

And take unto thee an iron pan and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city and set thy face resolutely against it: and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. It is a sign to the house of Israel.

In their sight thou shalt be carried out upon men's shoulders: thou shalt be carried out in the dark. Thou shalt cover thy face and shalt not see the ground: for I have set thee for a sign of things to come to the house of Israel.

Thus saith the Lord God: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall, and the pride of her empire shall be brought down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord the God of hosts.

Hear, O Jesus thou high priest, then and thy friends that dwell before thee, for they are portending men: for behold I WILL BRING MY SERVANT THE ORIENT.

And I will deliver Egypt into the hand of cruel masters: and a strong king shall rule over them, saith the Lord the God of hosts.

Thus saith the Lord to me: Go, and get thee a linen girdle, and thou shalt put it about thy loins and shalt not put it into water.

And thou, O son of man, take thee a tile and lay it before thee: and draw upon it the plan of the city of Jerusalem.

And the sword shall come upon Egypt: and there shall be dread in Ethiopia, when the wounded shall fall in Egypt, and the multitude thereof shall be taken away, and the foundations thereof shall be destroyed.

You Ethiopians, also shall be slain with my sword.
