And the rest of the men, who were not slain by these plagues, did not do penance from the works of their hands, that they should not adore devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and wood, which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Where are the gods, whom thou hast made thee? Let them arise and deliver thee in the time of thy affliction: for according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Juda.

And there you shall serve gods, that were framed with men's hands: wood and stone, that neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

Behold, they are all in the wrong, and their works are vain: their idols are wind and vanity.

And I will pronounce my judgements against them, touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me and have sacrificed to strange gods and have adored the work of their own hands.

And they made them statues and groves on every high hill, and under every shady tree.

And they forsook all the precepts of the Lord their God. And made to themselves two molten calves, and groves, and adored all the host of heaven. And they served Baal.

And I will destroy thy graven things, and thy statues out of the midst of thee: and thou shalt no more adore the works of thy hands.
