Before the face thereof a devouring fire, and behind it a burning flame: the land is like a garden of pleasure before it, and behind it a desolate wilderness, neither is there any one that can escape it.

And I will stretch forth my hand upon them: and I will make the land desolate and abandoned, from the desert of Deblatha, in all their dwelling-places: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

The city of thy sanctuary is become a desert; Sion is made a desert; Jerusalem is desolate.

Whose graves are set in the lowest parts of the pit: and his multitude lay round about his grave: all of them slain, and fallen by the sword, they that heretofore spread terror in the land of the living.

They are dreadful, and terrible: from themselves shall their judgment, and their burden proceed.
