Thy pride is brought down to hell: thy carcass is fallen down. Under thee shall the moth be strewed, and worms shall be thy covering.

And I will make the multitude of thy songs to cease, and the sound of thy harps shall be heard no more.

And they shall go out, and see the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me. Their worm shall not die and their fire shall not be quenched: and they shall be a loathsome sight to all flesh.

Full of clamour, a populous city, a joyous city: thy slain are not slain by the sword, nor dead in battle.

And yet they shall sleep together in the dust, and worms shall cover them.

Therefore hath hell enlarged her soul and opened her mouth without any bounds: and their strong ones and their people and their high and glorious ones shall go down into it.

For the worm shall eat them up as a garment and the moth shall consume them as wool: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice from generation to generation,
