And my hand hath found the strength of the people as a nest: and as eggs are gathered, that are left, so have I gathered all the earth. And there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or made the least noise.

If I have rejoiced over my great riches, and because my hand had gotten much:

Take ye the spoil of the silver, take the spoil of the gold: for there is no end of the riches of all the precious furniture.

Though thou be exalted as an eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars: thence will I bring thee down, saith the Lord.

Know you not what I and my fathers have done to all the people of the lands? Have the gods of any nations and lands been able to deliver their country out of my hand?

I have digged, and drunk water: and have dried up with the sole of my foot all the rivers shut up in banks.
