They shall be converted that sit under his shadow: they shall live upon wheat, and they shall blossom as a vine: his memorial shall be as the wine of Libanus.
And rising up he came to his father. And when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and running to him fell upon his neck, and kissed him.
Instead of the shrub, shall come up the fir-tree, and instead of the nettle, shall come up the myrtle-tree: and the Lord shall be named for an everlasting sign that shall not be taken away.
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the thorn and the myrtle and the olive-tree: I will set in the desert the fir-tree, the elm, and the box-tree together:
The glory of Libanus shall come to thee, the fir-tree, and the box-tree, and the pine-tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary: and I will glorify the place of my feet.
On the high mountains of Israel will I plant it: and it shall shoot forth into branches and shall bear fruit, and it shall become a great cedar. And all birds shall dwell under it, and every fowl shall make its nest under the shadow of the branches thereof.
