Hosea 11:10Douay-Rheims version of The Bible - 1752 versionThey shall walk after the Lord, he shall roar as a lion: because he shall roar, and the children of the sea shall fear. See the chapter |
For thus saith the Lord to me: Like as the lion roareth, and the lion's whelp upon his prey; and when a multitude of shepherds shall come against him, he will not fear at their voice, nor be afraid of their multitude: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight upon mount Sion and upon the hill thereof.
And thou shalt prophesy unto them all these words, and thou shalt say to them: The Lord shall roar from on high and shall utter his voice from his holy habitation: roaring he shall roar upon the place of his beauty. The shout as it were of them that tread grapes shall be given out against all the inhabitants of the earth.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand the second time to possess the remnant of his people, which shall be left from the Assyrians, and from Egypt, and from Phetros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Sennaar, and from Emath, and from the islands of the sea.
