But into the second, the high priest alone, once a year: not without blood, which he offereth for his own, and the people's ignorance:

And he said to Aaron: Approach to the altar, and offer sacrifice for thy sin. Offer the holocaust, and pray for thyself and for the people: and when thou hast slain the people's victim, pray for them, as the Lord hath commanded.

Who needeth not daily (as the other priests) to offer sacrifices first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, in offering himself.

And when he hath offered the calf and prayed for himself and for his own house:

And when he hath killed the buck-goat for the sin of the people, he shall carry in the blood thereof within the veil, as he was commanded to do with the blood of the calf, that he may sprinkle it over against the oracle,

For I delivered unto you first of all, which I also received: how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures:

But this man offering one sacrifice for sins, for ever sitteth on the right hand of God,
