Until the Lord give rest to your brethren as he hath given you, and they also possess the land which the Lord your God will give them. And so you shall return the land of your possession, and you shall dwell in it, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you beyond the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun.

Therefore, as the Lord your God hath given your brethren rest and peace, as he promised, return, and go to your dwellings, and to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you beyond the Jordan.

For until this present time you are not come to rest, and to the possession, which the Lord your God will give you.

And when a long time was passed, after that the Lord had given peace to Israel, all the nations round about being subdued, and Josue being now old, and far advanced in years:

Therefore when the Lord thy God shall give thee rest, and shall have subdued all the nations round about in the land which he hath promised thee: thou shalt blot out his name from under heaven. See thou forget it not.

So Josue took all the land, as the Lord spoke to Moses, and delivered it in possession to the children of Israel, according to their divisions and tribes. And the land rested from wars.

God, who, at sundry times and in divers manners, spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, last of all,

There remaineth therefore a day of rest for the people of God.

Of whom was born Nun, who had Josue for his son.
