Seeing then it remaineth that some are to enter into it, and they, to whom it was first preached, did not enter because of unbelief:

Shall not enter into the land, over which I lifted up my hand to make you dwell therein: except Caleb the son of Jephone, and Josue the son of Nun.

And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron: Because you have not believed me, to sanctify me before the children of Israel, you shall not bring these people into the land, which I will give them.

For unto us also it hath been declared, in like manner as unto them. But the word of hearing did not profit them, not being mixed with faith of those things they heard.

As I have sworn in my wrath: If they shall enter into my rest.

And when he sent you from Cadesbarne, saying: Go up, and possess the land that I have given you: and you slighted the commandment of the Lord your God, and did not believe him: neither would you hearken to his voice:

And the Lord said to Moses: How long will this people detract me? how long will they not believe me for all the signs that I have wrought before them?

Shall not see the land for which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any one of them that hath detracted me behold it.

Died and were struck in the sight of the Lord.

He that believeth in the Son, hath life everlasting; but he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

For as you also in times past did not believe God, but now have obtained mercy, through their unbelief;

Let us hasten therefore to enter into that rest; lest any man fall into the same example of unbelief.
