Lift up your eyes to heaven, and look down to the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth shall be worn away like a garment, and the inhabitants thereof shall perish in like manner. But my salvation shall be for ever: and my justice shall not fail.

Saying: What thou seest, write in a book, and send to the seven churches which are in Asia, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamus, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

Behold the Lord God is my helper: who is he that shall condemn me? Lo, they shall all be destroyed as a garment: the moth shall eat them up.

Who hath wrought and done these things, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord. I am the first and the last.

What profit is there in my blood, whilst I go down to corruption? Shall dust confess to thee, or declare thy truth?

For the worm shall eat them up as a garment and the moth shall consume them as wool: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice from generation to generation,

Thus saith the Lord, the king of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last: and besides me there is no God.

Now in saying a new, he hath made the former old. And that which decayeth and groweth old, is near its end.
