Wast thou angry, O Lord, with the rivers? or was thy wrath upon the rivers? or thy indignation in the sea? Who will ride upon thy horses: and thy chariots are salvation.

Hear me, O Lord, for thy mercy is kind; look upon me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

Because I came, and there was not a man: I called, and there was none that would hear. Is my hand shortened and become little, that I cannot redeem? Or is there no strength in me to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I will make the sea a desert, I will turn the rivers into dry land: the fishes shall rot for want of water and shall die for thirst.

And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded: and lifting up the rod he struck the water of the river before Pharao and his servants: and it was turned into blood.

The Lord also said to Moses: Say to Aaron: Take thy rod, and stretch forth thy hand upon the waters of Egypt, and upon their rivers, and streams and pools, and all the ponds of waters, that they may be turned into blood. And let blood be in all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and of stone.

But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch forth thy hand over the sea, and divide it: that the children of Israel may go through the midst of the sea on dry ground.

He brought forth water out of the rock: and made streams run down as rivers.

For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind: to render his wrath in indignation and his rebuke with flames of fire.
